Our gold-winning Memory Care community at Auburn Hill Senior Living is on the leading edge in its effectiveness, compassionate care, and creativity. This is due, in no small part, to the leadership and innovation of our Memory Care Director, Melisa Whitesides.

Running a memory care program like the one here at Auburn Hill requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Even throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our staff have ensured there are always fun and engaging things to do for the residents.
Our Innovations Memory Care area is always decorated for every holiday and boasts some of the most beautiful lakefront views in the community. We are so thankful for staff like Melisa that are dedicated to making each resident feel at home, safe, and happy every single day.
The Importance Of Quality Memory Care Programs
A quality memory care program provides so many benefits that support the unique needs of seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Our Innovations Memory Care Program is thoughtfully located on the top floor of our lakefront community. This offers residents spectacular views while maximizing the benefits that natural light is proven to provide individuals with cognitive impairment.
All Innovations Memory Care team members participate in continuing education about memory-related conditions, fostering a consistent, specialized level of quality care focused on embracing the differences between residents. The Innovations Memory Care Program integrates recommendations from each resident’s physician with counsel and direction from our Director of Innovations, wellness team, residents, and their families to provide comprehensive care.
Innovations residents benefit from life-work stations designed to encourage productive engagement, foster a sense of worth and purpose, stimulate memories, and to ultimately bring joy.
